Celebes Kalossi A wonderful treat from the Indonesian islands. Celebes has a nice full body, rich flavor and splendid aroma. |
Indian Monsoon Malabar This coffee owes its special flavor to the sail ships in which it used to be transported from India to Europe. During this voyage, the exposure to the trade winds would give distinctive flavor to the coffee. Today, the sail ships are no longer necessary for transport, but the process of "monsooning" was introduced to replicate the characteristic flavor. During the monsoon months the coffee is exposed to the trade winds, and high levels of humidity in the air. This coffee yields a smooth, rich, spicy and full-bodied cup. |
Kona Extra Fancy Kona coffee has one the most perfectly proportioned beans. Grown in the slopes of the Mauna Loa Volcano, the trees benefit from the rich lava soils and the most ideal growing conditions on Earth. This coffee is smooth with an intense nutty and luscious aroma. |
Papua New Guinea This coffee is grown at altitudes between 4,000 and 6,000 feet above sea level, which gives it its high quality and rich full-bodied flavor. Additionally, the coffee growing areas are mainly forested and almost inaccessible making the transport of fertilizers and pesticides more troublesome than they are worth. So, although the farmers can not afford organic certification, most coffee is organic in nature. |
Sumatra Mandheling Our prize winning Sumatra is very aromatic and a low acid bean. Smooth and pleasantly balanced with a heavy body and a syrupy, almost chocolatey taste. |
