Gourmet Coffee: Africa

Kenya

Kenyan coffee is usually rated as one of the most complete cups of coffee. It contains many of the good qualities sought in a cup. A wonderfully satisfying aroma, an excellent balance of acidity and body, and excellent fruit.

Mocha - Yemen

The coffee plant originated in Ethiopia, however, the cultivation of coffee really began in Yemen. This coffee has a light body and high acidity. The flavor is quite exotic with subtle hints of chocolate. (The idea of adding chocolate to coffee came naturally after tasting this coffee, and thus the Cafe Mocha was born.)

Tanzania Peaberry

The term peaberry refers to smaller coffee beans coming from a coffee cherry that has only one seed instead of the typical two. Peaberries are said to have a more intense flavor than regular beans with a sharp character. Yields a full, soft and very fulfilling cup.
